A JOURNEY TO THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH
How would you like to take a relaxing holiday in sunny Mexico and arrive home looking ten years younger?
The Mayers are health conscious seniors who carefully watch their diets and exercise regularly. Although they remail vigorous and young at heart, time had taken a toll on their appearance. "I'd love to get rid of my turkey neck," Kathy, 68, remarked to her husband, Allan, 76, pondering his own sagging neck and bags under his eyes.
Once the Mayers arrived and settled in at Casita Montana Bed and Breakfast, Anne drove them into Guadalajara for a preliminary consultation with Dr. Victor Ledezma. He explained costs and the routine preoperative exams he conducts on patients over age 50, such as and EKG, chest xray, blood work, and Doppler ultrasound arterial imagery. That was especially reassuring to Allan whose previous medical history had included defibrillator and pace maker implants.
Dr. Ledezma is a top-notch specialist in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery with 27 years of experience in the field. With titles earned at the University of Guadalajara School of Medicine and Jalisco's Institute of Reconstructive Surgery, certification by the state Society of Plastic Surgeons, he has become a leader in his profession, a distinguished professor of plastic surgery and a deeply committed philanthropist.
Over the last two decades, Dr. Ledezma has been the director of a private out patient clinic in Guadalajara. He has earned a sterling reputation among scores of patients who reside in the Lake Chapala area for whom he has performed full face lifts along with other body sculpting procedures such as tummy tucks, breast implants, nose jobs, skin peels, liposuction and botox injections.
"This is not about vanity, Dr. Ledezma insists. "The objective is for the patients to love the way he or she looks, to boost self esteem, feel happy and secure, and live their later years more fully."
Without cutting any corners on first rate medical care, the cost for most of these procedures runs at about half the going rate than in the United States and Canada.
In preparation for the surgery, Casita Montana has a pre-op program designed to put patients into the best mental and physical condition before surgery. Massages, hypnosis and medication sessions beforehand assure an ideal state of relaxation that not only eases the body through the stresses but also boosts the healing process afterwards.
Both operations were performed under local anesthesia and both operations went off without a hitch. They rested overnight and under the doctor's careful watch in the clinic. The couple says they suffered no pain from the surgery and only minor discomfort over the first 24 hours afterward. They followed an antibiotics regimen to prevent infection and took nothing stronger than a baby aspirin at bedtime to combat inflammation.
Over the next five days the post surgical swelling bruising diminished dramatically. Their recuperation was significantly enhanced by the continuing full care provided by the Casita Montana staff, including delicious, nutritious meals and herbal teas served around the clock to some extra TLC with span and beauty treatments.
We are 110% satisfied customers, "Anne was at our sides all the way through the experience, taking care of our every need." Anne Dyer knows the ropes." Anyone who decides to undergo cosmetic surgery will benefit from our special attention to get you in optimum shape for the procedure and the personal pampering needed during the first few days of recovery. As an added bonus, Dr. Ledezma has set up a consulting office in Plaza Montana and will see patients by appointment.
Suzanne's Story

Suzann R. of California had less extensive surgery and chose a different doctor to give her eyes and neck a lift. “I don’t want to be 25 again”, she said, “but I wouldn’t mind going for 45 or 55”.
Less than two hours after her brief operation, she was feeling well and was pain-free. Anne stayed with Suzann during surgery then picked her up the following morning to bring her back to Casita Montana.
One week after her procedure Suzann’s stitches were removed and the small amount of bruising had almost disappeared. She cannot say enough to recommend her doctor and the care she received from him and the staff of Casita Montana.

Ellie’s Story
I first contemplated cosmetic surgery about two years ago while living in South Carolina; I found prices to be expensive. After relocating to Chapala the precedence and plans for surgery went on the “back burner”. That is until a few months ago I read an article in a local newsletter about two women who graciously shared their cosmetic surgery experiences in Mexico. Of particular interest was a report of their pre and post operative care with Anne Dyer at the Casita Montana Bed and Breakfast in Ajijic.
Encouraged by their experiences, I decided to take the plunge by arranging a consultation with a Guadalajara Surgeon, Anne recommended. The doctor understood my surgical goals; he completely and thoroughly explained the procedures he would perform. Satisfied I had found a capable surgeon.
The next step was to set a date for the surgery, I made an appointment with Anne Dyer, we took a tour of her Casita Montana Bed & Breakfast where I would be staying during recovery, and she outlined the special services she had designed for cosmetic surgery patients. Anne put me at ease with knowledge and experience, I was certain I would be in good hands. She even asked if she could accompany me to a pre-surgery meeting with the doctor so she could ask some questions regarding any special post operative care she could provide.
The day before surgery, I checked into Casita Montana Bed and Breakfast and had “before photos” taken. Later that evening I was treated to a session of hypnotherapy with a fine hypnotist, Anne explained, it would help with any stress I might be feeling and also with the healing. Bright and early the next morning, Anne and her driver took me to a beautiful small clinic in Guadalajara for my surgery.
With sedatives and local anesthetic, the procedure was absolutely painless! Although my doctor requested I spend the night in the clinic, Anne waited until I was in the recovery room feeling fine before saying good bye to return to Ajijic. Once back in Ajijic, Anne called my husband to let him know everything had gone smoothly. The following morning Anne picked me up in Guadalajara and we returned to the Bed and Breakfast where I stayed for three more days.
Anne and her assistant Graciela, attended to my every need preparing herbal teas, light, delicious meals and checking on me often to make sure I was comfortable.
Even though I live locally, I’m glad I decided to stay in the Casita Montana Bed and Breakfast; it was wonderful not to have to be concerned about transportation, care, food or anything. In doing so, I was better able to relax, rest and recuperate faster without any stress. For me this was definitely the right way to go.
