About Ajijic, Mexico
Ajijic, Mexico, ranks second in the world for best all round weather; a lower cost of living than either the U.S. or Canada; and a postcard perfect setting. It’s nestled between gently rounded mountains on the north shore of Lake Chapala.
The population is now around 15,000 and abounds with restaurants, boutiques and art galleries. This 600 year old village is full of interesting people, interesting history, and has become one of the largest expat communities in the world.
Plaza la Montana is located on the main highway (the Carretera), at the corner of the Ajijic’s main intersection (Colon Street), which is only two blocks from the heart of the village. She renovated the plaza and opened Casita Montana Bed and Breakfast.
She saw the need for a full service beauty salon day spa which today includes a licensed staffed at Mexico beauty salon and spa prices.
Today Plaza Montana is a thriving hub of small businesses, including the Casa Montana Bed and Breakfast, a travel agency, an alternative health store, a stationary store and the offices of two board certified cosmetic surgeons, and a well known dentist.
Over the years Anne saw the need for creating a nurturing environment for people recovering from plastic surgery procedures and cosmetic dental work. Today, in addition to her now famous Bed and Breakfast, Casita Montana offers plastic surgery before and after care for men and women.
