Casita Montana Bed and Breakfast features one of Ajijic’s best lodging facilities. It is in the center of the village, within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and Lake Chapala.
Like so many visitors, captivated by the historic village’s gentle charm, Anne came for a vacation and decided to stay. That was almost 23 years ago, when Ajijic was a sleepy little fishing village with few cars and a much smaller expatriate population.
Shortly after her decision to make Ajijic her permanent home, Ann purchased property that she named Plaza Montana. Capitalizing on her interior design background, Anne opened a furniture factory and design center and trained several local people in the art of furniture design and manufacturing.
After about fifteen years, Anne decided to change her focus. She wanted to create a “home away from home” for people seeking a quiet vacation in the very center of this quaint village. Her main focus was to provide vacationers with a comfortable and affordable bed and breakfast.
Anne closed her furniture and design business, gave her employees all the equipment and supplies, and set them up in another location. They are still in business today because of her generosity. She taught them to fish, not to just feed them for a day.
Now, in addition to the B & B, Anne specializes in providing before and after care for people seeking a new look through all types of cosmetic surgery. She has gathered together a group of professionals, such as board certified plastic surgeons and dentists who specialize in cosmetic dentistry–all at very affordable prices.
Anne offers her guests, off-street parking, a full breakfast prepared by her staff with a choice between either authentic Mexican food, or food with a continental flair. Her delicious, organic Mexican coffee is available throughout the day.
To insure her guests comfort, Anne has renovated the plaza again and created her Happiness Garden, which is the center for a full service health and beauty spa. These amenities are available, by appointment, at Mexico prices.
